Just some thoughts.....

Ok, this won't be my typical post, but its been kind of heavy in my mind. Like a lot of you, I have noticed that there are more than just a little reality shows on tv now.... And it seems to be one for EVERYTHING! But the ones that have been on my mind are those that showcase people's talent, such as American Idol or even the newer show Face off that features extreme Makeup artists.

I was watching it, and it made me think about all the people that have to go through all the different rounds on the show and still don't get anything out of it. Especially those that have more talent than just a little bit. Even as a reader/writer, it makes me think about all  the people that have been writing stories or poetry, singing, or even doing extreme make-up, and just because they don't know how to get to Hollywood or know anyone in the industry so they never get discovered. I kind of feel like I'm ranting, but it just seems unfair. There's so many people out there that have so much talent but they get passed by while people like Snookie, Kim Kardashian, and other celebrities get all these things like book deals, and sining careers, movie deals, and commercials, when they have NO TALENT. I don't know if any of you have seen/read Tyra Banks' "Modelland" or Snooki's TWO books "Confessions of a Guidette" or  "A Shore Thing," but ummmm.... I'll let you be the judge. Click the title to go to their Goodreads page. Yes I understand that they are not the people who actually write them, but still, only their name is on it so they get the credit. When there's people actually out there sitting on a gold mine of talent.

Well, I'm just rambling on, but there's really no point to this. I just hope that those who see this try and take what they like back and stop being afraid of rejection. If you know you like to  write, put samples out there, or try and sale your manuscript, so you don't have to think about reading things like the nonsense pictured here. Or if you sing, hear the same things on the radio all the time. Or if you're a makeup artist, seeing the same people getting praise for doing every movie's make up. Help give some more variety to the world. Especially if you can break the world from certain trends that have been going on for entirely tooooo longggg... (Vampires being one of them lol)

Be strong in your self and take the initiative to get out there and get noticed. And even if you do get rejected, (much like those who get voted off the show by the judges) be sure not to give up. Remember the saying "One person's trash maybe another person's treasure."
