One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?

What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?

What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.
But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.
Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

*MY THOUGHTS*

Divergent gave me all the feels. I cried, laughed, and got so angry at some parts I was yelling at the book. Insurgent had me on edge and I knew that their city was on the brink of war and I was strangelt so excited for it. So, naturally, I expected Allegiant to be all about the war and how it would change Tris and Four's life.... Did I get what I expected? Well..... No.
"Who are you? I demand. 'We are the Allegiant,' the voice replies. 'And we are many, and none."

I say "no" because there were so many things I had problems with. For instance, the characters. I'll start with Four.... When I met him in Divergent, he was a knife throwing, gun wielding, bad ass. He didn't take any shit because he had taken it most of his life already. But in Allegiant, he definitely hanged my entire attitude about him. He had none of his original qualities and I felt like he was a completely different person. I've seen a lot of bloggers say that Tobias and Tris both sound the same and that's the perfect way to put it. I felt like he was acting more like a female than the sexy bad ass I knew him to be.
"Death is so quick, so certain. Where we're going now, nothing is certain.."

Which brings me to their romance. This was really the only thing tying me to this. I was in love with them when they were together. It was the only time that I felt like Four was back to being strong and Tris was showing her growth. And then at the end, I can't lie, my heart broke for Tobias. I wanted to jump through the book and console him. I felt EVERYTHING that he felt.
"If they told us what to believe, and we didn't come to it on our own, is it still true?"

As for the plot, I was a little let down. In Divergent, it seemed like every chapter had a cliff hanger. And in Insurgent every PAGE had a cliff hanger. In this one, I just didn't feel like anything was hardly happening. In the beginning I was digging it, because put yourself in that situation. If you found out that your life was an experiment and your friends were dying because of other people, how would you handle that news? But then right afterwards it went to nothing. I had become so accustomed to Roth's gritty, in your face, eff your feelings attitude, that I wasn't a huge fan of the fact throwing in my face. Because that's pretty much all that Allegiant did. Which, I don't feel was 100% explained. That was a lot of information to process, and it was info dumped in my lap. I'm sure I would have had more fun with the action on the last few pages spread throughout the entire book than that madness that was the end.
"Everyone has to blame something for the way the world is."

And speaking of the end, I will now attempt to put my thoughts of it into words..... I understand why it happened, but the WAY it happened, I just couldn't deal. *SPOILER* Tris is bad ass and she had just survived the death serum.... And then she dies from gunshots.... -___- *END SPOILER* I felt like it should have been in a blaze of glory. With more then one person shooting or something else to acknowledge the bad ass that she was. Honestly, I'm ok with what happened in the ending, but not the HOW. I was one of the few that was spared from the humongous spoiler, but I kind of wish I was. I would've read it and been spared the heart ache I got from reading it all the way through.
"It's strange how a word, a phrase, a sentence, can feel like a blow to the head."

In short, I didn't hate it, but the only reason I stayed intrigued was my curiosity of what the major event that everyone was talking about was. And unfortunately, when I got to it, I wasn't impressed. I honestly could've done without.
Overall, I give this
