Top 10 Songs I Wish Were Novels!

1. Sorry by Justin Bieber: In all honesty it pained me to say this one. I am NOT a Belieber, but this song is so freaking catchy and I really like the beat. I can only imagine the story that would go with it, but I know it would be interesting!

"Is it too late now to say sorry?
'Cause I'm missing more than just your body, oh
Is it too late now to say sorry?
Yeah, I know that I let you down
Is it too late to say I'm sorry now?"

2. Someone Like You from Adele: I NEED the story to this one. Like they broke up and then he got married and she turned up at the wedding saying I still love you, but now I'll just settle for someone like you. Can you imagine a YA book about this? (Maybe not marriage, but even just a relationship in school would be cool.

"I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over."

3. All of Me by John Legend: I love this song. Every time I hear it, I end up in tears. I'd love to see this portrayed as a book. Even if it's just a contemp book with a few of the lyrics slipped in here and there.

"You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh oh"

4. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran: When I first heard this song I even remembered saying "This would make a cute YA book. Have the characters be old and have like flashbacks and talk about how they fell in love and how they're still in love now." Someone write it now, kthanks bye.
"When your legs don't work like they used to before
And I can't sweep you off of your feet
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love?
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks?"

5. Stay With Me by Sam Smith: I say this one because it happens so much in NA all the time annyways lol The dude is always sleeping around with everyone and then there's that one person that "changes him."

"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?"

6. Tonight by John Legend: I LOVE this song too. And I really think this song could be a really romantic YA book and a really steamy NA book. The lyrics really tell the story itself!

"Baby, tonight's the night I let you know
Baby, tonight's the night we lose control
Baby, tonight you need that, tonight believe that
Tonight I'll be the best you ever had
I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had"

7. Powerful by Jussie Smollet and Alicia Keys: Of course y'all knew this would end up on here. I'd love to see this portrayed as a book. To help everyone remember that they matter and everyone is powerful and beautiful. Diversity matters y'all!!!!

"Every shade was beautifully made

[Alicia Keys & Jussie Smollett:]
And powerful
There's so much strength in you and me
Powerful
A breath away from victory
I matter, you matter, we matter all
I matter, you matter, we matter all
Powerful
Powerful"
8. Jealous by Nick Jonas: This would be a contemp and more than likely a sad one beacause he's overly jealous, but I think the song is cute and I'd like to see it made into a book! I think it's cute because of his explanation, not because he's jealous.

"'Cause you're too sexy, beautiful
And everybody wants a taste
That's why (that's why)
I still get jealous"

9. Blank Space by Taylor Swift: This one is cute because it's like this in most contemps as it is anyways. Anything can happen, but how you get there is the best part.
"So it's gonna be forever
Or it's gonna go down in flames
You can tell me when it's over
If the high was worth the pain
Got a long list of ex-lovers
They'll tell you I'm insane
'Cause you know I love the players
And you love the game"

10. Fight Song by Rachel Platten: I LOVE this song. It can apply to ANY troubles you're having in real life. I'd love to see this written about a health issues, book and have this be the running theme. I've read so many books where there's a sad ending, but give me a happy ending and this song and I would love it!!!
"This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I'm alright song
My power's turned on
Starting right now I'll be strong
I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me"

What about you?
Can you see any of these as novels?
