Me on Instagram:

Unexpected Bookmail arrived at the sametime as some unexpected bookmail down below!

I randomly had a pink drink, a pink book, and my tshirt was pink when I went to Teen Book Con yesterday.

I got to hear Bri's rap in person and OMG it was amazing!

I kind of freaked when I met Angie Thomas. I don't even remember what I said or if I even said hello. (If I didn't I apologize. I was trying so hard to hurry through your line and still have a somewhat meaningful conversation with you at the same time.) I was so nervous. What do you say to someone who you look up to and admire like this? I know I was not memorable at all and probably embarrassed myself, but this was one moment I will remember forever. You made this YA Librarian (and her teens who are blown away that I met you!) very happy! Thank you for your words.

Also thank you for laughing at my incoherent joke about me and my husband's real life convo on what J's do I wear to meet you in lol

I was a bit more calm when I made my way through Justin Reynolds' line. (Not by much lol) At least this time I remembered to say hello. I also got to show him my cereal Instagram pic from a couple weeks ago and he seemed like he remembered it. If not, he's a really good actor....  lol

I missed Lamar Giles, but I pre-ordered all my books with the signatures already in them, so although I didn't get to meet him and show him my pic of me channeling DJ ParSec, (sad face) I still got my book signed.

Overall, I had a great time at Teen Book Con and I can't say enough how happy I am that they had these awesome authors here in Houston!
