Me on Instagram:

On Mother's Day my cousin and Keno got me a card and I think I've read it once a day since I got it!

We don't get much new YA into our library, but I'm such a nerd, just SEEING this attached to our delivery tubs puts me in a better mood!

For our Asian Pacific American Heritage Month program we had a rep from our area Japanese Consulate come to our library and do a presentation on the history of manga. I let my teens do some manga and anime style drawing when he was finished. They really enjoyed it and even brought along some goodies that are in the corner there! It was a pretty awesome experience! (And then the guy hit on me and made it awkward ughhhhh)

We had Faithful Paws at our library where kids get to come to our branch and practice their reading to therapy dogs. Well I found out today that they let other animals go through their training as well because a pig (as seen in the top picture) just graduated on Tuesday. She said there was also a bunny going through it with her as well! This program is the sweetest thing and I love listening to the kids practice their reading! One of the only things I miss about being a Children's Specialist!
