*MY THOUGHTS*
So when I first saw the title of this I HAD to get my hands on it. I was SO EXCITED to read this because I actually grew up when boy bands were popular so I know ALL about the Backstreet Boys! And so of course, I had to have this one.
But unfortunately this one wasn't my cup of tea. Maybe I was thinking about it too hard or something, but it just wasn't what I expected. For starters, the writing was terribly choppy. I kept having to go back and re-read passages to make sure I didn't leave a part out. I was really confused a lot of the time. And then to say I DNF'ed this around 47%, the "L-word" had already been thrown around as well. I just didn't really understand how things between them could escalate so quickly. Especially with a certain someone else in the picture.
And then I didn't really care about their relationship that much. They just didn't seem to connect with me or each other. Nadia seemed very naieve and Tyler seemed way too mature to be with a college student. They just didn't fit right to me. What bothered me the most though, was the use of the "f-word." Now I know that it comes up a lot in people's vocabulary nowadays, but still, let's say sex ok? Because saying "I want to f*ck you so bad it hurts every three pages was getting tiresome. At least find another expression. Hell say "I want to jump your bones." *shrugs*
Overall, I was super excited about this, but it turned out as not a "me" book. I've seen some other bloggers out there that have actually enjoyed it, I'm gonna tell y'all this: Just because it wasn't for me doesn't mean you won't like it. I'm still going to (try to) read the second book in this series so don't hesitate to give this one a try!
