Waiting on Wednesday: 02/04/15

This bookish meme tells the blogosphere what we're waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) for! It's hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine!

A Madness So Discreet

Grace Mae knows madness. She keeps it locked away, along with her voice, trapped deep inside a brilliant mind that cannot forget horrific family secrets. Those secrets, along with the bulge in her belly, land her in a Boston insane asylum.
When her voice returns in a burst of violence, Grace is banished to the dark cellars where her mind is discovered by a visiting doctor who dabbles in the new study of criminal psychology. With her keen eyes and sharp memory, Grace will make the perfect assistant at crime scenes. Escaping from Boston to the safety of an ethical Ohio asylum, Grace finds friendship and hope, hints of a life she should have had. But gruesome nights bring Grace and the doctor into the circle of a killer who stalks young women. Grace, continuing to operate under the cloak of madness, must hunt a murderer while she confronts the demons in her own past.
In this beautifully twisted historical thriller, Mindy McGinnis, acclaimed author of Not a Drop to Drink and In a Handful of Dust, explores the fine line between sanity and insanity, good and evil—and the madness that exists in all of us.

Published by: HarperCollins (Katherine Tegen)
Expected Publication Date: October 6, 2015

Why I'm Waiting: I saw it was by Mindy McGinnis and just said "What the hey" and added it because I liked NaDtD. Then came the cover and I LOVE IT!  And then I saw the synopsis and saw "insane asylum" and I was all on board. I was further on board when I saw that it was a thriller being released near Halloween. McGinnis,  JUST TAKE MY MONEY!

What are you waiting on this week?
Will you be waiting on this with me?

    1. NaDtD was good, but I wasn't a real fan of the second one, In a Handful of Dust. It was basically just the same as the first one but on a trek across the US. But this one does sound amazing! I hope we both love it!

  2. I'm so excited about this book. Not only is that cover gorgeous but it sounds really dark and dramatic! I also love that it's coming out close to Halloween. I will definitely be reading this one in October! Great choice.
