This week's topic is:
Top Ten Tuesday:  The Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Ever Read!
*These are in no particular order!

1. Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige: I hadn't read a re-telling of The Wizard of Oz ever before and I wasn't expecting to ever read one. Dorothy is re-imagined as a crazy bitch and is killing Oz under her reign. And her friends The Tin Man, The Scarecrow, and The Lion aren't as friendly as they were thought to be either...

2. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins: I laughed and held my breath and asked WTH so many times while I was reading this. For the MC to be such a girly girl, she was KICK ASS. And all the different mythology in it made it something totally different to me!

3. Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy: I have read my share of books with Health Issues, but never one like this. The MC is normally sickly so they seem nice. In this book, the MC is a bitch and Harvey, the amazing boy, is there to just take her shit. I didn't like that he liked her so much lol

4. Cress by Marissa Meyer: Really the entire series, but with this one being the most recent I used it. If you've been following my blog for awhile, you know how much I love this series. Fairy tale re-tellings set in space makes these well known stories completely different than what you're used to.

5. Something Real by Heather Demetrios: A book about a girl on a television show that has 12 other brothers and sisters?! Ummmm yes I HAD to read this. And I loved it.

6. Panic by Lauren Oliver: A bunch of high school kids doing super dangerous things. Sounds normal right? Add in a tiger and some crazy weird people and you've got this. And that's what makes this book so unique to me.

7. How to Love by Katie Cotugno: Cotugno went away from the norm and tackled something like teen pregnancy. But that's why I liked it. It wasn't your average read and Cotugno wasn't afraid to be different.

8. The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller: Ever since I've been reading, I haven't seen an MC as different as the one in this book. She's popular, but she's also secretly a nerd. And although that's come up in several books, none of them that I've read is anything like this. She is  into cosplay, comic books, and a lot of other nerdy things!

9. FanGirl by Rainbow Rowell: This was such a creative story! Everyone knows people are known the gravitate towards books they can relate to... So of course when the synopsis for this one dropped, EVERYONE wanted to read it because they could relate to the MC and her love for the written word and the way we all fan girl/boy over something!

10. That Time I Joined the Circus by J.J. Howard: There. Is. A. Circus. I've never read anything with a circus in it. And this one is cool because it's not entirely focused on it. There are so many other things going on in this book besides just that. It was pretty cool to see how she incorporated the animals and acts and everything in her book.

I cheated so what....

11. My Life After Now by Jessica Verdi: There hasn't been a fiction book about HIV that I've heard about since I've read this one. And this one touched me. I need more YA books like this one to not only teach but to be entertaining and non-preachy for teens as well.

What are the most unique books you've ever read?
Leave a link, I need more books to add to my TBR lol

    Here's my Tuesday post

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

    1. Rebel Belle was very good! I hope you love it!

  2. I have seen so much about Dorothy Must Die, it looks like I need to read it! I've seen a lot of your books around the blogosphere lately, actually, but I haven't read many of them. It looks like I need to add some books to my TBR list :)

Thanks for stopping by my TTT!!

    1. You should definitely read them all! I loved them and I hope you do too!

  3. A few of these are on my TBR pile. Great list!

  4. A few of these are on my TBR pile. I'll have to add some more :) Great list!

    1. I hope you add them all and find time to read them all as well! Hope you love them as much as I do!

  5. The only two I've read are How to Love and That Time I Joined the Circus! Totally agree on both of them!

    1. You should get to the rest of them too! I hope you love them as much as I do!

  6. I love this list! I haven't read many of your selections, but I'm excited for a lot of them - especially Side Effects May Vary. A book about someone NOT dying from cancer is definitely different.
